This isn't just about replacing Matt Milano. It's about who Jim Leonhard trusts to wear the green dot if Terrel Bernard misses time, which has unfortunately been the case over the past two seasons (9 games missed). Leonhard needs a competent player next to Bernard who knows his defense as well as someone ready to step up in his absence.
The Buffalo Bills don't need another blockbuster deal this offseason for an offensive weapon after making the move for D.J. Moore before the Draft this spring. They don't need to mortgage future draft picks. They don't need to overreact before Week 1. What they do need is to make the wide receiver room fit what Joe Brady wants this offense to be.
