Voluntary offseason workout programs are intended to provide training, teaching, and physical conditioning for players. The calendar for 2026 is below.

As per Article 21 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each club's official, voluntary nine-week offseason program is conducted in three phases:

Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program, with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation.

The 2026 NFL League Year and free agency signing period officially begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, when all 2025 player contracts expire. At that same time, the NFL’s 2026 trading period also opens, allowing teams to begin making official trades and roster moves for the new season.

Before the 4:00 p.m. ET deadline, NFL teams must designate any Franchise or Transition Players for the upcoming season.
