The NFL Draft is less than a week away. I, like many of Bills Mafia, am anxiously awaiting how that will play out. With a loaded AFC and a roster that’s both talented and top-heavy, this year’s draft isn’t just about adding depth. It’s about maximizing a championship window led by Josh Allen.

We are just under two weeks away from the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, and it is peak mock draft season. The number of mock drafts released and written by the national media tells me that I am not the only one who feels that way. I took this as an opportunity to compile a number of mock drafts for Bills fans.

The 2026 offseason represents a major turning point for the Buffalo Bills. For the first time in nearly a decade, Buffalo will operate under a new defensive vision following the departure of longtime head coach Sean McDermott. With offensive coordinator Joe Brady stepping into the head coaching role and the team bringing in Jim Leonhard to run the defense, the Bills are entering a transitional period that will likely reshape how the unit is built.

The 2026 offseason will be critical for reshaping the Buffalo Bills' offense, particularly with major questions surrounding the wide receiver room and now the offensive line. Brandon Beane started this process yesterday with the trade for WR D.J. Moore from the Chicago Bears. With a renewed emphasis on building the offense around quarterback Josh Allen, free agency provides Buffalo with an opportunity to add proven talent and stabilize key positions.

The Buffalo Bills made a splash today and traded a 2026 2nd-round pick to the Chicago Bears for wide receiver D.J. Moore and a 2026 5th-round pick, per Tom Pelissero. Moore comes to Buffalo with four years remaining on his deal, which is currently being restructured to reduce his 2026 cap hit, with some future money guaranteed.

There has been a lot of trade speculation around the Buffalo Bills this offseason, and the need to make a big splash. I do think Buffalo is exploring the trade market, but it will not be for a player on an expensive contract unhappy with their current team.

There are three groups of players that I will explore potential extensions with, and the savings a new deal would bring. This is not meant to say it will happen, but these are the players who make the most sense to me, from a cap standpoint, and where they are in their careers.

March is upon us with the new league year starting in less than two weeks. The Buffalo Bills entered the offseason with 23 players set to hit free agency, 21 unrestricted and two restricted free agents. Per Spotrac, they are about $8 million over the cap with the recent restructuring of Spencer Brown’s contract and a handful of signings.
